Sounds good and is getting more and more comfortable. I have a large head so it feels tight after a few hours but its getting better

I've only had these for a limited time but I feel like both the comfort and sound quality are a bit inferior of the Shokz OpenRun that I was using for some time. The sound has some high-frequency side-ringing like it is coming out of a can. Not sure how to better describe it. It's loud enough to be a bit annoying.

Looks and feels great, but the sound and mic are of poor quality, or definitely not what I expected. I tried giving this newcomer an opportunity but it has been rather disappointing. Here is why:

There is a lot of sound leakage even at the lowest volume, and I perceived distortion and static in the sound when using them right out the box. The only way of getting decent sound quality is by using the “ Enhanced “ mode in the app and even then you really have to rank up the volume when using them on the street cycling or running for instance. Forget about listening to a podcasts in a noisy environment. At least the app doesn’t collect data, that’s appreciated because you are forced to download it to get barely decent sound.

The mic is also not great, I tried to make a phone call while riding my bike on a windless day and it was impossible to have a conversation.

I have not tested them in water yet, so I owe you that one but in my experience so far this is not a product for people doing sports outdoors, not for calls on the move and not for listening privately if you are in proximity to people. This is possibly a good product for gym goers and if you don’t care about imposing your music/podcast to people around you, for calls indoors they do work well and they are very light and good looking.

I was expecting much more due to the advertised features, specially as they are supposed to have been tuned by “Grammy winner producers” (I now understand why no one actually put their name behind this product). Maybe I just got a really bad or badly refurbished item, I don’t know, but they guarantee the same quality as if bought new, that means the quality is rather poor. I wouldn’t pay full price for this poor quality.

Last thought on delivery: I didn’t get any message with an estimate delivery date, the tracking info provided is also rather poor, they call you if you are not home when they already passed so you can’t really plan to be there for the delivery, then you have to get in touch with the delivery company to reschedule meaning it takes indeed 7-10 working days to get the item. I’ve considered returning them but just the thought of sending these all the way back to china (where they were air shipped from) makes me weary of having to spend weeks following this up, not to mention the environmental impact.

I normally don’t write reviews but I wish I would have known this before. Most reviews out there are not that honest and make you think this is a much better product than it is. And well, it’s not bad as long as you use it indoors but it can’t handle much more than that. I was leaning to give it two stars but gave three for the benefit of the doubt on its performance in water, let’s see if they do better there.
